G'day mate, I am a young Australian girl living in Singapore. When I was12 years old I went on a trip to Uganda for two weeks and I lived the life of an Ugandan child. During our stay we went to their schools, ate their food and lived at the school in the teacher's accommodation. I met so many new friends, learned lots, and had loads of fun!

I saw that my new friends did not have access to what I did. My Mum encouraged me to come up with an idea to help them. After this I thought of the idea of buying their products, to spend money there and bringing them to the world through this website. I am truly thankful that my Mum encouraged me to act. Now I can empower local children and women to create their own business and achieve their own goals.

These hand crafted products are all made in Uganda. We have sourced them from local workers. Some of the products are hand made from the local Mums that send their children to the School for Life schools (SFL) that is a non profit organisation providing education to children in rural areas of Uganda. Speaking of which, 75% of my profit will be donated to SFL schools. Additionally, as we buy the products locally, your money helps locals build their own businesses, further supporting and empowering the community.
